Raw Aesthetic Movements
Overview:
Raw Aesthetic Movements, also known as R.A.M. Squad is a student organizationn on Penn State campus devoted to spreading expression and love for dance through a number of styles. What started as a small club created by a few friends getting together to dance has slowly evolved to a great organization that hosts all types of performances, workshops, academic activities, and community programs.

Dancing:
R.A.M. Squad is an open organization that accepts people of all dance levels from no experience and up. They focus on all forms of hip hop dance such as popping, locking, Bboying/Bgirling, hip hop choreography, waving, house, krumping, etc.

Performances:
They’ve performed at numerous events at Penn State including THON, talent shows, multi-cultural events, homecoming, etc. As Vice President, my role is to help organize such performances.

Rhythm Spotlight:
Rhyhtm Spotlight is one of the biggest jams in the east coast that we as R.A.M. Squad host. We hire a professional DJ, Master of Ceremonies, and Judges. With such a big event, it is a collaborative effort from the entire E-board to plan it and execute it.

Children's Day:
Children's day is a program that I have created within R.A.M. Squad. Children's day is once a month where students from R.A.M. Squad host workshops and teach choreography for the kids in the community. Parents bring their children to R.A.M. Squad, where we help them find their passion for dance.

Discussion Groups:
The discussion group is another personal project that I had put together for R.A.M. Squad. The purpose of this discussion group is to provide a medium in which individuals within R.A.M. Squad can express themselves and their thoughts on various subjects that can be tied back to dance. This discussion group helped build relations, provide perspective, and allow R.A.M. to be more involved from an academic standpoint.
